Resentment of the Day
New Zealand economist Gareth Morgan is demanding the country’s entire domestic cat population to be eradicated, citing concerns of environmental damage and endangered local bird species on his website Cats to Go. Morgan urges all cat owners to spay, neuter and even euthanize their pets in order to expedite the extermination process. Considering that nearly half of the population owns at least one cat, it’s most likely going to be a pretty tough sell.
